THE LIONS CLUB OF SYDNEY INC

EMINENT SPEAKERS FORUM 2011

AUGUST 31ST 2011

The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull MP, Shadow Minister for Communications and Broadband, will be presenting his views on “The Future of the Internet in Australia” at a special lunch meeting of the Lions Club of Sydney on August 31st.

“The internet has been a great unifier of people, companies and online networks. It has already dramatically changed the way that we communicate as well as changing the way we do business and educate our children. What can we expect in the future?”

The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull MP, BA, LLB (Syd.) BCL (Oxon), is a Rhodes Scholar and a highly regarded speaker who will share with us how he expects the capabilities of the Internet to develop over the next few years as well as the impact this will have on individuals, communities and both the public and private sectors. This is a not-to-be-missed occasion for all those who are interested in how the Internet will serve the community in the future.

The function is being held in Cellos, the Heritage Listed restaurant on the 4th floor of the Castlereagh Hotel, 169 Castlereagh Street on Wednesday August 31st. Starting at 12 noon for a 12:30 p.m. sit-down, the lunch will conclude by 2:30 p.m. The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull will speak for 20 to 25 minutes followed by an informal questions and answers period.

A sumptuous meal including wine and other beverages will be served for an all-inclusive cost of $65 per person. In addition, a raffle will be conducted with all money raised going towards helping charities supported by the Lions Club of Sydney.

RSVP by August 20th and for RSVP please contact Mr. David Pell.
